The Arbortech Strimmer Guard

Thousands of guards have been in use for a number of years and have proved to give maximum protection whilst greatly reducing maintenance and
administration caused by complaints of strimmer damage and the unnecessary use of chemicals.
The strimmer guard is complete and needs no special tools, parts or skills to fit. A volunteer tree warden could be reasonably asked to protect your planting schemes using this product. The guards are flat packed and a large quantity will fit into the boot of an average car.

A single strimmer guard will protect a tree up to 15cm diameter. For larger trees up to 30cm diameter simply join two guards together using the securing tabs.

The outer layers of the trunk carry the tree’s nourishment. If they are damaged, the tree will die. Strimmers are great for edges of paths, the bottom of walls, gates, poles etc., but they can seriously damage and scar trees.

There are many reported cases of 80% to 100% of a new planting scheme being killed in the first season as a result of strimmer damage.
